DUCK DECOY WORKSHOP 2022

Maryland Public Television collaborates with renowned duck decoy carving artist Rich Smoker and the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art in Salisbury, MD to provide a unique experience for duck and decoy enthusiasts.

This workshop is at the introductory-level, no experience needed! We welcome anyone interested in exploring the art form.

There are two opportunities to participate:

Saturday, October 8 | 8:30am - 4:30pm | Ward Museum of Wildfowls Art in Salisbury, MD

Saturday, October 22 | 8:30am - 4:30pm | Maryland Public Television in Owings Mills, MD

Learn how to make your very own carved wood duck decoy and take it home with you at the end of the session. Workshop attendees will receive the following:

- Small group instruction led by carving artist Rich Smoker. Each workshop is limited to 15 people.

- All necessary tools will be available for each attendee (carving knives, sandpaper, paint, brushes, etc.).

- A continental breakfast, boxed lunch, snacks, and beverages are included with your registration.

- A one-year membership to the Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art and a one-year MPT Passport membership (or extension) are also included.
