A professional genealogist, Bridget M. Sunderlin, CG became board-certified in 2020. A Maryland native, her genealogical areas of expertise include Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New York. She has conducted a wide range of client work including background research for authors, dual-citizenship applications, DNA research to solve unknown parent cases, and repository research for Finding Your Roots with Henry Louis Gates Jr. She has also published articles in the Family History Daily and Maryland Genealogical Society Journal. One of her greatest passions is researching her own Irish roots, which span almost every province. Her genealogical journey began in 1974 during her first trip to Ireland.

A Maryland native, Heather O’Hara has been researching her family’s history for over twenty-five years. Heather is the Immediate Past President of the Maryland Genealogical Society (MGS) and is a member of  many genealogical societies, including the North of Ireland Family History Society (NIFHS) and the Ulster Historical Foundation (UHF). Her grandmother grew up in County Derry and arrived in the U.S. in 1946; as a result, Heather has spent the past five years doing intensive research into her deep Irish roots, including three trips to Northern Ireland in the past three years. She will return again this June for more research and to attend a course at the Public Records Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI), a valuable resource for Irish genealogical research.
