ABOUT

Join us for an exciting and informative animal presentation from one of Irvine Nature Center's animal educators. Guests will learn about Irvine's Animal Ambassadors who have joined the centers as a result of injury, illness, or human intervention. During the presentation, families will learn about the impact that human development can have on native animal species. Following the presentation, get some fresh air and explore the great outdoors with a self-guided tour of Irvine's impressive woodland and meadow ecosystems and learn ways to preserve our planet. This event is part of the MPT's Wild Hope engagement grant in collaboration with The WNET Group and HHMI Tangled Bank Studios.

This event is FREE but advance registration is required. In an effort to ensure proper scheduling, a $3 refundable deposit is required to hold your space. Each presentation time slot is limited to 50 people. Families may hike the grounds, visit the outdoor classroom, and explore the Exhibit Hall at their leisure following their presentation time slot.

Wild Hope is a new documentary series that highlights global stories of intrepid changemakers who are restoring and protecting our planet through hyper-local initiatives that generate measurable progress.  Learn more about Wild Hope and watch episodes by visiting https://www.wildhope.tv/.

Irvine Nature Center is the largest independent non-profit nature center in the region.  A leader in environmental education for children and adults, Irvine offers hundreds of programs annually and is the home of over 50 animal ambassadors.  Located in Owings Mills, its 211-acre campus features woodlands, wetlands, and meadows. Visit indoor and outside exhibits including the Robert A. Mardiney Aviary, Outdoor classroom, Native American site, Woodland Garden, and more.  Irvine welcomes ALL to come explore nature!
